Hello I just joined up.
Seems like a cool forum for the new year. I'm about to take ownership of this 63 Apollo, it was my farthers car may he rest in peace. I just had it appraised on sunday from its creator Milt Brown so I can purchase it from my fathers estate, somewhere in the 21-22K range in its current condition. It is a very early coupe, chasis no 1008 (no 8 of 76 coupes). Acording to Milt "It's one of the most original cars I've seen"There was a thread about this car already in car pics, so I replied to it. Ever have "car on the brain" |

Thanks Guys! . Thanks for the heads up about Chris lol, I'll try to take things in stride.
Ramsey, I found this site just surfing around for a forum with a more broad topic base. Here is a few pics of the Pontiac Engine and some numbers, head flow sheet and a short video . Its a fairly mild cam not even a 230 deg duration @.050, its a crower 60242 cam with 1.65 Cat roller rockers. For some reason I can't load a video if the engine running? Last edited by dons63apollogt : 22 Jan 2008 at 11:29 am. Reason: forgot the cam data and also the short video |

Here are a few more pics of the .020 over, 2 bolt studed and doweled Pontiac 400. should handle handle 550 hp. Have all the assembly pics of this engine about 50 total. Built by a Pontiac racer, I got about 6.5K in the engine. Still working on completing this car.
Here is a pic of the 63 Apollo at the begining of this month when we gave her a bath. I posted this with some additional info in the thread American Ferraris since that thread has already been started. I'll take a few pics today with my cell phone if I remember Also a pic of the 67 Tempest Custom the day I found it for sale for $750.00 dollars , I brought it home that afternoon. |

Actually it was Americans who designed the 1st body, Yes Franco Scaglione did refine it. The E type Jag did have influence on the design as well as the Ferrari 250GT. The Jag just came out about 6 months before and they wanted it to have that same look with the long front nose.
