Hey everybody
I used to be a member quite awhile ago. I only made a few posts and kinda dropped off. If anybody recalls, I drove a Saturn. Still do actually, sadly enough. However, I've come upon the car of my dreams though. I've done quite a bit of extensive research into this vehicle and really feel it is THE car for me. I'm talking about the Buick Grand National. Anybody who knows anything about cars knows these vehicles can MOVE when you get them hooked up right. I'm planning on aquiring mine by November or December of this year. I want to get it into the 10's on the 1/4. I'm also quite interested in street racing and hopefully will be tearing it up in my local area. I've got a few people in my area who are already beefin' with me over the simple fact that I said I want to race. They don't even know what I car I have yet. Just today a guy I know who races (Whom I met only because I started talking to the racing guys in my area) said to me, "Your car is slow as (4 letter word for crap)". Funny stuff. Anybody else ever get that kind of crap before? It's funny because he drives a Jetta and SWEARS by imports. Now please, I would ask you not tear a hole through me for being against imports, (As I notice this forum is rather import bound in its standpoint) but that's just my opinion. I cannot wait to pull straight up muscle on these guys out here. -Saladin |

Welcome back, is your SN a satanic verses reference? If so, nice, if not, where'd you get the name? The GN is a sick car, I hope you get one sooner than the end of this year so you can get some good racing footage for us.

My name is actually Arabic for, "The Righteousness of the faith." It's also a name that a great Kurdish General who fought against the crusaders in the 1100's. So no, no satanic verses here.
When I do get it, I will definately put up some video's for you guys to see. I'm thinking I might get one of the later years if I can, but if not, I'll start with one of the earlier ones. They seem to come for cheaper, yet very clean and they drive well. Only problem with them is that it costs more to get them hooked up as well as the 86's and 87's. As those cars came stock intercooled. The earlier models don't. Anybody here in the Philadelphia area that race? |

Jimmay, the reason it sold for that is because it's a GNX. Not your average Grand National there. Those puppies sell for expensive as there are only about 547 of them, or at least, that's what I've read.
I'm just trying to get my hands on the average Grand National. I don't need anything special. ![]() Also, I may have assumed wrong. But it just seemed to me that you guys were more import bound. Maybe I am wrong. ![]() Last edited by Saladin45; 13 Jun 2007 at 03:41 pm. |
