After poking around on this site as a guest for about a year I decided to register. I'm Ken, I drive an 06 MINI Cooper S and look forward to contributing to this site (although I doubt I'll find too many vids that aren't already on here somewhere.)

I bet that's a fun car. I also think my GTI runs a better 1/4 mile stock.

Oh I know it does, I'm spinning through the first three gears as it is with the all season run-flats, my friends MKIV GTi VR6 walks me off the line but has a bit more problems once we're rolling and is no match in the twisties. I tested the MKV GTi but felt the MINI better fit how I drove and was a more engaging car to drive. Don't worry though, all my traction and power deficiancies will be resolved when I return from Iraq.

I'm sure it would toast my MkII with some tires that hooked. I don't have to worry about traction though, 100hp doesn't spin any wheel too much.

Hahaha...I know, but did you see his best recorded time in the 1/4? Obviously the supercharged cooper would tear it up with sticky tires.
