New member: check out my car and drawings

I've been here a long time, but just now started posting. I'm from Madison, WI.
I drive a 98 Volvo S70 T5. It's pretty rare to find in a 5-speed. It has a 2.3 liter 5 cylinder turbo good for 236hp. The only mod I did was IPD front and rear sway bars. Then I blew a hole in my tranny, which I'm fixing right now. It's a great car.
Here's a crappy picture of it.


And here's some car drawings from my scetchbook. These were just practice, so I can start working on a bigger scale.











The Mini Cooper was too big to scan, that's why the picture sucks. Bad lighting too. My next idea is a series of 3 drawings. Each on 30x20in paper. They will be cars in motion. One rally, one drifting, and one street car on the road. Full backgrounds and everything. I don't know, I think it'll be cool. But those wont be done for a while.

I'm very fond of the 240sx. I've owned 2 in my lifetime. I've been saving that car for my big drawing. It'll be the drift car.

This is my first car. 89 240sx.



This was my second car. A 92 240. This was the day I installed my Advan RG's. It was a good day.

This is my favorite picture. That other 240 was identical to mine when I bought it. Right down to the hub caps. This was outside the McCormick Place at the Import Revolution that was held there.



I miss my 92 240. All I had was an Apexi exhaust, Injen intake, Kouki taillights, 180sx front turn signals, tokico shocks and eibach springs, and Nismo front and rear strut bars. I also had Silvia floormats and a nismo shift knob. It was just a fun car to drive. Oh, and the Advan's.

Haha, S14's are nice. I really wanted to buy one for my next car. But this next drawing will the S13. I absolutly love them. The only reason I didn't buy another 240 is because they were getting over played. I had that grey 240 back in 98 and nobody new what it was. I liked it that way. That's why I moved to Volvos. They make remarkable cars and everybody underestimates their performance. In reality, Volvo was a pioneer in turbo cars. My brother has a 1981 Volvo 240 Turbo. Not too many cars were turbo in those days. And they've been making turbo cars ever since. In fact, the 2.3 liter five cylinder motor that I have was designed by the same facility that makes porsche engines. Anyways, I still have respect for a lot of cars out there. Maybe I'll draw an S14 in my sketch book sometime soon. Send me a reference picture and maybe I can throw something together.
