Yeah I was pretty sure that at some point in the early/mid 90's Volvo started making all their cars FWD. Course when did Ford take over Volvo, that might have something to do with it.

I know with the new S40's you can get AWD.

volvo ended the rwd production 2000 the same year ford got 51% of the shares
855, s70, v70, s60, s40n and v40n have/had awd as a option

Volvo ended its RWD platform in 1998 with the V90/S90. Ford aquired Volvo in 1999.

my familie has two volvos.one 940 and 240(mine).

i had a 240, dropeed the turbo motor in it, fun as hell to drive in the snow
