now i havent seen the inside of too many volvo's but i've seen a few. Luxurious might be pushing it a bit. like kunt said, may not be stock (unless any part from any volvo=stock) but it's pretty quick

I'm sorry but I'm having a hard time believing the "stock" claim. The old 740 turbos were good for 16 second 1/4 miles. That was for the 162 hp models. Now I am aware the italians got the 200 hp model which is where you are saying the head came from. How does adding a head from a car that produces 38 more hp gain you 5 seconds in the 1/4 mile?

I think the stock for the american model was like 7.5-8.5 psi. Could be wrong though, i've read 10 somewhere...

Well you should get into some more volvo's, luxurious pushing it a bit?

Sorry mine is full leather, leather seats, leather dash and door pannels, even a leather baby seat stock. A/c fully equipped power roof. It sure beats newer BMW's and Mercedes where most trims are plastic and fake leather. but your idea of luxury must be different from mine.


Stock boost is 8psi he's running around 18 i believe.

and 97Talon, the ones in europe are 200hp and they are only 2Liter engine, we have the 2.3L engines, and adding a dohc head lets you play with timing. We just got the 16 valve 2.3L engines, theirs are 16valve 2L.

and the stock engine rocks, you can take it to 24psi without a prob (if you properly did stage 0)
As i did with mine, my engine is only planned and bored with a turbo upgrade and MBC. And im running the stock computer (wish i had Megasquirt though)

B230ft block with the 16vavle d0hc head, not the european one, the north american one.

Snow Performance stage2 boost cooler (not hooked up)
Nitrous Express wet kit (approx 75hp shot) controlled by MS

Exhaust:
3 inch turbo back, tial waste gate run back into the down pipe, single mangaflow muffler.

Borg warner world class t5 w/short throw shifter

3.73 millerlocked rearend
Spherical bearing torque rods and a reinforced rear subframe. we shall see....

He's now in the 410 hp and about the same in torque !
