no it is a BMW E92 330i Coupé. Driving a Porsche in that competition is about twice as expensive as with the BMW and even with that pretty standard car it is allready a shit load of money you have to spend...

i missed the start where it said about what car it is. sounded alil like a old porshe to me lol.

its a nice car to be thrashing round a track. is it stripped out and roll caged?

i see new civics pestering u alot in the video .suprised to see them that close at aome part of the race..

In that race series there are different kind of cars, let's say standard and special. Over again splittet in different klasses depending on the displacement.

The E92 is a standard, where you are only allowed to strip the interior, build in a complete new race suspension, roll cage but not welded with the car, racing pads, but only production brakes and and disks. No changes to engine, body, windows etc allowed.

At the end it is about 275PS and 1400kg. The Civics (Civic Cup class) are 1175 with 240PS out of a 2.0 standard aspirated engine.

At the end of this 6h race we finished 2nd out of 17. The sister car #459 finished first. During 6 hours of racing it is not only the speed, it is more the consistency of the 3 to 4 drivers and the stamina of the car and its components. Additionally we have a great team behind the drivers.

Black Falcon is a race team since 2006 with a strong collaboration to a suspension manufacturer (Bilstein), garage, buildup of (road legal) track cars, events, fashion.. the whole 9 yards (marketingwhise)

Nevertheless each and every pay-driver spends about 35 to 40 K$ per season (10 races plus 24h) without race-insurance, accomodation, possible damages etc... Shit load of money, but worth every second.

yer that alot of money. but its doing something u love i guess. so if u have it and want to spend it on thats good shit..

what other tracks do you do in a season? how does the engine go after a season.? is it time for a new engine after a season after 10 races and a 24hour race that seems alot of thrash miles on a engine.

It is only the Nordschleife at the Nurburgring 11 times a year. I am also pretty familiar with tracks like Mas du clos, Hockenheim, Zandvort, Spa but I "raced" those tracks only during amateur rack-days.

The car is constantly mantained during the season when it comes to wheel bearings, brake components, wishbones, track rods and very important it is also allowed to improve the cooling for the engine, shift box and rear achse drive train. It is true, that after season the engine and the gearbox receives a full overhaul.
That is what you have to spend in order to finish each and every race.

with the E92 and Slicks a full lap is about 8:00 to 8:10, with road legal semi slick tires it is than between 8:20 to 8:30.
If you only count the BTG time (Bridge to Gantry as you can not do a full lap while tourist driving) it is 20 secondes less, as the Döttinger Höhe is not included.

Have you ever visited that track?
