iam thinking of buying an mr2 turbo any specific year that would be the best i was looking at a 1996 or 1993

Get a 91-93 if you want a racing setup get a 94-95 if you want a cruiser. 91-93s had more oversteer in them compared to the 94-95s due to the supension changes in those years. And you won't find a 96 model in the states last year was the 95. You might find a 91-95 with a 96 engine in it however (Gen 3 3S-GTE)

i have a 91 non-turbo an i am currently swapping to a 93 JDM 3SGTE and also a few aftermarket parts, if you do purchase a non turbo and you want to swap engine i suggest purchasing a 93-94 3SGTE because they are all basically the same except 95-99 are much more expensive because they have a CT20-B turbo instead of the CT26, and there are other small things different such as timing and whatnot, but if youre going to end up modifying the 3SGTE then go with the 2nd gen it will be much cheaper in the long run
