AEM-EMS "Plug and Play" slogan. More like AEM = plug 'n' pray it starts. The only "plug and play" part about that system is not havin to wire it in.
 Joking aside it's a great system once you figure it out. The hardest part with the AEM is tuning the idle, and getting the base fuel maps set up. So what kind of timing, AF, PSI are you running?

I was lucky with the AEM. I plugged it in, adjusted the base fuel maps for larger injectors/fuel pressure, retarded the base ignition timing and it fired up on the first try!
I'm currently running 17psi of boost from a T3/T4 50 trim turbo. Here is my AEM calibration file. I would love to see the one you are using. I'm currently working on the ignition maps. http://www.lovehorsepower.com/lan1b8kb.V1.19.cal -Joe Do you Love Horsepower? |
