Default celica or corolla

OK iam a big toyota fan and i like the celica and the corolla so i was thinking i heve a 02 corolla 5spd and I have been notecing that theres not a lot of performance parts for them so I was thinking what if i swapped a 2zzfe (celica gt_s engine) engine on it will be like a mini XRS and Iam thinkning of spending 3500 but is it worth it? I want some thing diffrent I don't want civic hatch with some b18 or k20 i just want something diffrent. OR i have another idea 94-98celica 5spd and swapped jdm european gt4 engine which it has 261 horses turbo but i do how much is this going to cost but i think enough money to do this so please post an advice, tips or opinion

i've seen 3sgte's in celica's n supra's, but i dont know how much fabrication n work it takes being the 3sgte is usually mounted MR. get a rwd car to mess with , then the engine swaping choices is almost endless. without getting into crazy dollar amounts.

If you just want something to be fun, turbo charging your car will give the best results for the price. If you want to be "different" for the sake of being different (bear in mind it will be different but no it wont be worth it performance wise) go with the 2zz.

If you got the money, celica alltrac with a 3sgte swap would be awesome, just mind your drivetrain. That gets my vote out of those choices. If your stuck on toyota though dont forget an Mr2 with a 3sgte swap would also haul some major ass You can pick up a cheap NA sw20 for very little, even less of course if you find one with a killed' engine (youll be swapping it anyways- why pay more?)

Im assuming you are focusing on getting parts for the engine not the rest of teh car right? well there more stuff to put on an engine anways. Id personally say you should go with the celica motor, but i mean if i had the choice id look into other manufacturors, you know just because toyota made your car doesnt meant you cant swap in a different companies motor. Cept your gonna ahve real fun possibly getting a new front clip, comp, and trans.
