Not really. You can do a basic overbore to clean the cylinders up for a rebuild but nothing to increase the displacement a significant amount. The KA engine was originally designed as a KA18E. It has been bored and stroked by nissan over the years till they maxed it out at 2.4 liters.

No reason to bore or stroke one. Just slap a T3/T04B on it and you'll have a screamer. Check these out:

Click on the guys names across the top of the page. Hell, Jordan is running 12.955 @ 110.15 mph wit a single cam motor!!!

OK, i was going to have to kick you in the balls. But why dont you just perform a swap then. Drop in a SR20. Though it doesnt have as much displacement, it is still a sick little thing.

use the ka, since it has more torque u'll beat the SH*T out of every sr and rb who wants a piece of one of the greatest unknown engine mods in the world! just talk to nismoron, he's more educated about this.

Never heard of an SP57. I pretty much only mess with factory nissan turboes myself. We have done several KA turbos and used a T3/T04B or E on all of them. The TO4E compressor is a little large and unnecceassily laggy for a fairly stock KA. The turbo is capable of much more than the stock engine needs. For a faily stock KA I would use the T3/TO4B combo. with an oncenter exhaust housing if you use a top mount log style manifold. Cant speak from experience on any other manifold style. They cost too much and we try to do the budget turbo setup. All of them we have done were at about $1000US for the whole project. Get a turbo, manifold, wastegate, an intercooler, and some pipe. Set it up for 4-6lbs of boost and you got a real budget sleeper for about a grand!!!

oh ok thanks for the tip,,,The Sp turbos is actullay popular like the guy joel grannes in the red 300zx that races the s/c s2000 he uses a sp74 its bigger than a gal. milk carton but i dont want to go that big i think the sp57 is fairly good for me,,,,,,,, but ill look in to the T3/T04B,,btw what do you mean by oncenter exhaust housing and top mount log style manifold... ???
