Default Audio (Subwoofers)

I know this is a performance site, but I think there should be a audio link. Thats just a comment thought, what I really want is, which one do you think its a better deal.

1 Alpine Subs 2 12s Type E 250 RMS (I think 750 peak) for $120 (I think they are the swe 1242 but not sure)

or

2 Punch Subs 2 12s p1s 150 RMS (dk the peak, mayb 300 or 400) and an 400 watt amp for $150

I know that the 2 option seems better, but now a days I noticed that 150 RMS is not that much, most people are getting 300 RMS and up so thats why I not sure which one to go for

Go for some performance on your car that would cost the same price as those subs and amp. IT only adds weight my friend, it only adds weight. (PS alot of ppl will be upset that you are going to put sound in your car instead of performance.)

punch as in rockford fosgate?

if so, go for them. the rms difference on the subs will be un-noticeable, afterall, its what drives the subs that matters. (dont go and buy a cheap amp)

asswholes lol. Alpine, Audiobahn, and Rockford are way badass. but if ur on a budget, go for Sony Xplods. I got 2 12" subs, a box, 1200 Watt Amp, and all the wiring for about 200 bux. it was a steal at Fry's Electronics here in San Diego.

bakudans, first thing who you calling *******...secodnly he's probably not from san diego so it would be a problem to get the stuff..

also this is a vid site this section is thecnical help, subs is a technical question....and not everyone likes to race and would rather put in a nice boom box then a fast engine..

i for one would go for fosgate, but if money is not an issue go look for kickers...they are great sound and bass.

also it depends on what you want. i for one got massive bass but it still sounds great...my set up 2 10" fosgate punch subs with fosgate amp kicker front speaker and kicker tweeters and 2 infinity 6x9's

sound is amazing...i can set off alarms about 4-6 car lengths away..even further if i push the subs to the limit, but yet the way i have it set up it sounds sweet.
