Default V8's against V6's

I know there are alot of videos of supras beating vettes, but there is one thing, there is no replacement for displacement. So with that in mind a twin turbo vette would destroy a supra in no time. For example Callaways project sledge hammer had a top speed of over 254. Much farther then supras could even dream. So for all of you non-believers, look here...http://www.z06-corvette.com/super/sledgehammer.htm Though it is alot more expensive, the facts are there. so next time you decide to thrash corvettes against supras, just think about this, Callaway's Project Sledge hammer.

Depends what numbers were talking about here...

V8s eat gas and are heavy so unless ur putting out some big #'s the V6 is always puts out the proper power despite the weight

but ill always go for a V4 turbo ^_^ (light ,saves gas, and with boost)

but at the same time a twin turbo stang that won't cost as much as a vette or supra will rape them both. and if it is set up the way one is being done out my way it will stop and handle like never befor. lol

see what just happened was someone posted his or her opinion. that is my opinion and i'm sure others won't aggre with it. so lets keep it civil or this thread will disappear like a fart in the wind.

What engine you pick or car you pick or even what you do to your car/engine all revolves around WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR. I'm not going to give a whole bunch of examples cuz I fear I would be wasting my time. But basically, it deals alot with personal prefernce, how you were raised(what youve been around your whole life), and what your going for. I shall say no more.

And the whole replacemnt displacement quote is used way to much and makes no sense to me anyways...

And the whole replacemnt displacement quote is used way to much and makes no sense to me anyways... and Focus your quote is stupid too!

lol it maybe stupid but its true. whats funny is that i just had that arguement with my brother. and hes like " ya but 10 g into a 4 banger may beat a viper but if you put that 10 g into a viper then we will talk (he swears by Chrysler and everything to come out of Chrysler ) but at the end of the day your still driving a ......" you are right it all comes down to preference. what you want and what you like. people have their opinions and they are intitled to them. kudos to the truth of your statement. performance is measured on too many levels to say that horsepower is all you need. and nothing turns heads or even sounds like a lumpy big block.
