Exactley what you said, the weight savings.Though the FQ300 and FQ400 are much faster and heavier, but we dont get it here.

if your going to buy an evo FQ, make sure it is the 260 or 400.
the ones inbetween are basically a 260 with raised boost and not a proper mapped chip to cope with the fuelling etc and no other mods to help it cope with the extra boost. the 400 has uprated internals and a proper management, so theres no worries there ![]() my advice is buy a 260 as they are cheap, still quick, and you could spend the money you saved on decent engine tuning Last edited by Chris-B; 13 Feb 2005 at 06:29 pm. |

There was a really good article on the March edition of Motor Trend comparing all three versions of the car on various tests. The RS is only faster in the straigts because it is the lighest of them all (manual windows, no radio, aluminum roof, etc). It came out last in the race track but only by 1 and 1/2 car lenghts. From what I read the only things the RS needs is ABS, better shocks (like the ones in the MR) to be the fastest.
BTW: evo 6's are definetely the coolest looking. The MR and RS have aluminum roofs unlike the regular Evo VIII Last edited by CRISTIAN; 14 Feb 2005 at 04:01 pm. |
