That's hilarious, I mean it, I did get a good laugh from that. I didn't mean for this to escalate the way it did. I was just asking questions and I apologize I got a little presumptuous by telling you to "do a little research" when I myself had neglected to realize that we live in different countries. I also apologize for the "shithole" comment (LoL), that was unwarranted and reflected my sudden ill-temper when I read that you had called me an "abnoxious little turd" (LoL, that was also pretty funny, I could definitely tell you're a brit). Both of the motors we suggested are good canidates for Luni's motorswap. I guess it just comes down to what you can get a hold of in your neck of the woods.

I love it!! I'm very partial to MkIs, I'm an old-school kinda guy. That car is sick, I would love to (and was actually thinking about a 2.0L 20V with side-draft Webers) get a hold of a 2L 20V. Very nice!!

HEY HEY

Long time man!!!

Yeah there was a big NA shoot out here.

All the golfs were running low 14s nd mid 13s not bad

Yeah i think that I am going to go to 8v route.

As if something breaks it a lot cheaper to fix

And the 8v is much quicker on the 1/4 mile

Nice, not a bad choice. I think you'll find the throttle response on the 8Vs quite surprising. Many people underestimate the 8Vs cause they see the 16Vs have more HP, they think twice as many valves and better breathing capabilties and all that, but often forget that you can just as easily upgrade the injectors, throw a cam in it along with a few tweaks here and there and make it quite a potent weapon of performance. I see a lot of 8Vs doin SCCA and stuff like that, and they rip it up. A buddy of mine, a while back, had a german racing head (8V) in his Rabbit and was quite a competitor in the road-course racing scene. Coupled to a good drag racing tranny, a well built 8V will serve you well. Put a talented driver behind the wheel and you should have no problem stomping on cars that have significantly more power than your Golf. As always, good luck and keep me updated on your project!!
