Default compensating valve trouble

so yah I own an 85 chevy s10 blazer rwd and my compensating valve is leaking at this one spot where the line from the rear brakes i believe goes into the compensating valve there is this small section that can be screwed off about the size of a wine cork and the line screws into that. well anyways the leak seems to be where the wine cork like part screws into the compensating valve and im not sure how to fix it I whent to napa and lordco and they told me it was an unwearable part so the only way to get a new one is from gm and thats my last resort because itll probably cost me and arm and a leg.

I know my way around cars and im about to start studying to be a mechanic. its just that i have never had to deal with a compensating valve before
i have taken the pieces off and everything looks ok it just dosnt seem to seal so i tried thread sealer and locktight but still keeps leaking.

any help would be much appreciated
sorry if its kinda hard to understand my problem i have pics if someone can host them for me.
