Default A chance get a newer car

I might have the opportunity to get a mid 90's model Volvo 960 Sedan with about 150,000 miles on it. That is if the person is willing to sell it, and if they would take payments on it!

Now I don't know EXACTLY which year it is(it has to be at least a 92 because before then there was no 960). It's just a plain sedan, most likely leather and automatic(maybe a manual), with a V6 engine. Now of course this would be an enourmous step up from my 1986 Volvo 240 DL Wagon. Now I did a bit of browsing for prices on these 960's and on KBB.com it said the private party value for a 96 Volvo 960 Sedan with all the standard options, etc. and 150,000 miles would be just under $5,000. Now I already know that Volvo's are great cars but, would this be worth it? I bet the people wouldn't be selling it for quite that much, but I want to know if anyone has had any sort of experience with the mid-90's volvo. I know the one I have is a tank, and a moderatly slow one at that, so I'm really getting my hopes up with this(even though it'll most likely fall through).

So any information that can be given in relation to this car would be much useful. Or you can ignore me whichever.

I choose to ignore you... I have no info except they look kinda nice with 17s or 18s (maybe pushing it with the 18s)

It depends in where you live, in some places a 1992 volvo may be worth $1000 in others $8000 so i pretty much don't know what to say, If you do live in the United States then click here , look for the car model the price range, then put your zip code, i bet you will find great offers on private party and dealer cars near you

Yeah well I decided that unless an absolutely amazing deal comes along I'm just gonna keep my 86 volvo til it don't run no more(which could be a long time!). I figure since I just spent about $400 for shocks/struts and $100 for new headlights I might as well get some use out of it all :P

Plus I should save some money to get that damned turbo put on!

I kinda like the volvoīs 900 series, but I donīt what they are worth. The best thing about them is that they are the last Volvoīs to have rear wheel drive. And besides, I thing sticking a turbo on it would be much better. At least you donīt have my problem: I donīt have a car any more...
