Default Need some opinions on problem

I have a 2000 Camaro SS, H/C, full exhaust, most bolt-ons, tune, etc... When I run the A/C the car will start to run hot, but only when the A/C is on. Have any of you heard this before? If so, please lead me in the right direction.

You're probably on the verge of running hot anyway. The AC just pushes it over the edge. Look for ways to improve or fix your cooling system (new thermostat, flush and refill, fans come on earlier, ect)

What temp are your fans set to come on at? Stock settings or lower?

210 im pretty sure, thats what the car runs when the air isn't on. It takes a while for it to overheat, maybe 10-15 mins, then it will get up to about 240, kinda scary, lol.

Yes, lower those settings. I like 160 and 180 for the fan settings (may need to go higher in the winter if you live in a cold area).

The factory settings are for a factory parts and factory power. You obviously have more than that, so you need a more efficient cooling system.

are you an auto or 6 speed? just have to ask before I give you another starting point to look at.

Like said above....check the high side and low sides of the a/c refrigerant. You might be low. Check the t-stat, check your coolant level as well. eliminate the easy stuff first.

^ ok, I was gunna say if you were a stalled up auto lacking a tranny cooler, that might also give you some temp. issues.
