^ My co-worker just had a similar problem w. his 2004 sebring. Running over temp, stuttering, hesitation....etc....well, come to find out that after I put the ol scan master on his car, it was the cam position sensor. after a $49.00 replacement part from advanced auto and 20 min. of replacement, the car runs perfect now.

^ yeah, that will solve his issues.....now either it will be getting beat on by anything from a V6 Acura TL to a SRT4....or it will be sitting up on jack stands. Either way works for a stang. lol

I don't think it does. Doesn't say anything about it in the tech manual.

I'll give the seafoam a try soon.

Buy some electronics cleaner and remove your mass air flow sensor...DO NOT TOUCH the metering wires in the center, only spray them off and let them air dry. Take that metering crap back off your car that your friend sold you that a/f changing crap.....you are playing with fire with some gimmick crap like that IMO. The only real way to change a/f ratios is on a genuine laptop when your car is on a dyno with a wideband O2 hooked up to it, anything else is inaccurate and danderous to your car. I beleive there is a program used for hondas call HONData, try finding a local tuner to tinker w/ the pcm and see exactly what the issue is. Even if the "check engine" light is NOT on, the cars pcm stores that code in a history file and a can be seen w/ the right software. Also, make sure that you are using the recommended fuel type, or maybe your power loss was a case of watered down fuel, that too can make it sluggish and make the engine light come on as well.
O snap bustin out some jdm knowledge. I was going to say check egr, but its been replaced not to long ago...

I picked up Seafoam and Deep Creep (Sea Foam in a spray can) This shit is pretty good I put 1/3 a can of sea foam in the gas tank and sprayed the deep creep in the throttle body per instructions, waited 10 min then started and watched the show. I actually had a fireman (off duty stop and ask if there was a problem/could he help cause there was a billow of smoke coming out. After a couple minutes of moderate revving I took her for a ride. I noticed an immediate improvement in throttle response and power. After coming to a stop (I was having fun) I also noticed a smoother idle. I wish I would have used it 60K miles ago. Not 100% but def a large improvement. I still have to change the thermostat and flush out the cooling system but I'm def on the right track thanks to you guys Lets see if it's a passes emission's testing now

If you really want to deep clean the insides of the motor, pull a vacuum line and let it suck in the sea foam from a plastic cup.....have a friend help by sitting in the car and keep slight throttle because it will want to sputter out and die. After it sucks up the cup full of sea foam, shut the car off, hook up the vacuum line and wait to start the car until the next morning....WOW....smoke show for 10-15 min, but that will clean her guts right out. I have seen it personally work wonders on a set of heads that we took the valve covers off of and it was nasty ass brown and oily on the inside, we did what I said to do and then we drove it for about 30 min, let it cool down and took off the valve covers again.....the damn things looked like we installed new parts, they were cleaned up nicely.

TY That's exactly what I was thinking but I was unsure if it was safe to let the seafoam sit in there that long. Guess you can. I'll def do that soon, the only problem is I live in a small apartment complex with alot of nosy a**holes. Think I'll put the seafoam in there in the morning/afternoon then wait till night

Vacuum line = Brake booster line I think? Goes directly into the intake manifold.

Only thing is you want the engine WARM to HOT so it will help loosen the carbon buildupyou'll actually partially flood the engine with it then wait bout 10 to 15 minutes with the seafoam in the engine then let it rip and add to the carbon emissions that obama wants to limit!!!!

I think I'm gonna opt for the 20-30 min session (cause of the miles) Get it all outta there.

I'm not sure about putting it in the oil, the crap in there may be blocking seal leaks. What do u guys think? (Remember 164K

Obama can suck ma ballz on that 1 unless he wants to come here and rebuild my motor or pay for it be done (I just don't see that happening)
