that company looks like crap to me, I'm pretty sure those chips are just resistors that trick the computer into adding more fuel. I'm sure there are tons of companies that have made chips for your car that actually work, check out renntech and brabus.

You could probably get some power from an underdrive pulley and a good chip. Or swap in an AMG V8.

chips are generally a shitty idea, all they do is make the computer dump fuel.

Heres something for you, they are a sponsor on mbworld but I would do some feedback searching on them on other benz forums before buying though.

Lightbulb Re: Performance chips

Thanks Gir89, I will check them out some more, looks like were getting on the right track with this. I guess I started this thread to get the "real" scoop on chips and performance. At one time I had a 96 F150 and "chipped it" at a performace shop. I have to admit the chip Did work, better shifting more power, but that install was like 400 buck's (actullay not too bad for what I got). I guess you get what you pay for, but on the other hand "Buyer be ware"
Keep the ideas flowing

I had my car "chipped" at black forest using APR software. A supposed 52 horse gain and almost 90+ tq. It doesnt feel that strong but was a good investment to me. Also if your close to Jacksonville in June they are holding a Euro meet/drag event at Coastal Plains raceway.
