So you never changed your suspension or brakes right off? What about tires?

I know I may be a little annoying but there aren't any people I know around me that I could ask these questions. Sorry if I am being an inconvenience.

get a rwd car..find yourself an empty parking lot (not always legal) or find yourself an event and go. u dont need to modify anything at first. yes, even stock cars can drift. : )

wet parking lots are good for people who are learning about controlling just the oversteer but learning to initiate a drift and carry it is a very different thing and is best practiced in the dry.

watch this video drift bible........

yeah driting.com is a great site to learn.
before you start drifting id recomend at least like a years driving experience. that way your fully comfortable with your car and how it handles then start off small like ebrake drifts to get in the habit of countersteering.

aa what am i talking about everyone learns diferently just find an open place and mess around.

honestly DL the Drift Bible! its very informative!

id say start out by doing donuts and powerslides! learn teh characteristics of teh car and learn its limits well! oversteer is probably going to be your biggest concern in a stock car!

actually oversteer will be the whole point of drifting considering thats what drifting is

but too much oversteer or understeer will be a concern im not sure wich you ment but both are unwanted

not trying to diss on you,, just trying to clearify for the younge readers...

yes the DRIFT BIBLE....

i would say start with and old corrola... its what alot of people start with.. its ugly as **** but your talking about learning and thats a good one to learn in, if you pay attention durring the movie thats what the drift king started with

or a 240sx... thats a nissan if your not familliar
its what he uses in the begining of the movie... and its a much nicer looking car (actually i think he might drive a silvia in the movie if i recall... but its a very similar car i think the difference is cosmetic)

If your talking about the Hachi Roku's then I dont know. Its hard to find one in the san francisco area. Well you see them but they are not for sale. Plus the Corolla that my family has is like the 97 model which is FF.

well hiromi.... if you are going to be using a family car i suggest you dont...

espesially if you want it to be your daily driver... you see drifting is really bad on... well...

- tires
- engine, depending on how you drive
- lsd's (limited slip diferential)
- brakes

and well -insurance- thats if the law catches you...
it will most likely be classified as reckless indangerment or reckless driving... maybe raceing if the cop is a jackass

but if you still want to drift... any rear wheel drive vehicle will work (well not any)

ive seen crown vics drift... ive drifted in the rain a few times... in my 300d but for the nost part its japanese rwd vehicles...

supra
rx7
s2000

you know stuff no one can afford

and others

240sx
carrola
old rx7
old supra
miata
mustang(though i think muscle cars are not the right choice)
camaro
subaru (usually seen in snow)
