indeed, even the 95 AODE is decent. alot better than the AOD in the foxbodies.

I look at this way, if its your only vehicle for school dont fix it if not broke.

Well I am in a different situation then most, my step father is a master tech for ford so my work is done for free. I spoke with him and a close friend of his who races a Sn95 mustang 5.0 at the track and is in the mid to low 10s.He said for what you do , you best bet is to get the following:

Complete your exhaust with BBk headers
Get aftermarket pullies
3.73 gears
shift kit
torque converter 2800- 3200 series
lower springs
CAI

He said with these things your car that normaly runs he thought in the high 14s low 15s should drop to low 14s even hight 13s if we tune it right at the shop. Then if I wanted to get a cam, heads , throtle body and other bolt ons.

What do you guys think. I like to hear from different people , and different opinions.

OH he said that although a t 5 tranny would be fun it wouldnt be all that fun with the 200 miles drive to school once a month and around campus with people walking out in front of me and what not, I do plan on replacing the engine with perhaps a 351 or 5.4 out of a lightning. but for now i was thinking what i listed before.

5 speed in a mustang are fun.

Yes the GT-S is lighter than the GT, but if you take weight out of it it will be faster anyway... think about it, take out the things that you dont use/need like the ashtray if you dont smoke lol

yea it came without a spoiler which i put on and has cloth interior, with gt dash, although mine does have power locks and windows, but yea i plan on getting headers gears and CAI by the time i go away this semester aug 29th... and ill save over the semester and buy it slowly, i want to have all those things done by the end of spring semester...


Yea of course, ill take out some things to make it weigh less, perhaps look for a carbon fiber truck, thing weighs like 200 lbs, also my brother just informed me that he has two racing seats that weigh like 60lbs less then normal seats, and they are leather so i can get rid of my cloth ones
