only resently i've been noticing some problems with my auto transmission, whenever im waiting at lights or just sitting in Drive, once i give it some gas it stutters a little until it finds what it wants and takes off, i know that theres nothing wrong with the engine itself. it doesn't give me to much trouble if i drive like a granny tho. im no expert so i thought id get some ideas from you guys before i get it checked out. also when im crusing down a highway and may decide to plant my foot a little, it'll drop down a couple of gears per normal but then kinda has trouble getting getting the revs,it seems to me the gear box is on its way out, the engine's just crying out for more but the stupid trans wont let it. so i guess my question is, can something like this get fix or is a new transmission needed? it just had a service bout 2 weeks ago, but i guess they didnt have a good look at the transmission!
i drive a '94 Mitsubishi Magna 3.0L V6 ( its kinda like a Galant for all you non-aussies) thanx |

Same problems I'm having but also after I'm coming off the bypass doing 150km/hour or more when I come to a stop the car keeps jumping and it feels like it is stuck in like second gear or something once I get past that gear(I guess) it's back to normal. Somebody told me that they would bleed the tranny fluid and check that first but I dunno shit about cars and stuff I'm really envious of people who know that type stuff. But I grew up the son of a musician who drives station wagons and vans and doesn't know shit about cars.
