sounds like exhaust leaks galore to me. Just get some new headers, gaskets, x pipe, cat back and no more leaky for you!!!!

^ tensioner I bet, replace that ASAP along w/ a new belt. Remeber a/c belt too, if your car is so equiped.
I would replace: plugs wires hoses belts exhaust Then: short throw shifter 3.73 gears DR's light suspension mods presto......a street racer.

well......the least costly way is to get your car up onto a lift, while it's running, go under the car w/ a spray bottle with a soapy water mix and spray thr exhaust heavily with it, it will dry kinda fast because of the heated pipes, but if you spray a heavy amount on you will see it bubble up at the leak point. Try the easy areas 1st, near flanges, welds, band clamps.....or you can take it to a shop and they have a sniffer device that can detect exhaust leaks, but that will cost you more.

crawl under the car and look for black on the exhaust aka soot at the joints{and not the ones you smoke cheech}. my best guess is the leak is at the headers to h pipe bolts.
also check your clutch fan, the odds are it is seized, WITH THE CAR NOT RUNNING grab the fan blades one on each side and try to rock it back and forth aka towards the motor and rad, if there is play the clutch needs to be replaced, also it is to be able to turn without turning the water pump pulley. if that breaks say good bye to the rad and likely the upper rad hose. it is a known problem. but like i said look at the header to h pipe bolts and also the header to block bolts, they are 7/16 socket and wrench, cause the socket won't reach all of the bolts. make sure your timing is at 14 degrees advance, stangs like it there, the fags at ford give them alot less. |
