change gears without taking your leg off the gas pedal while pushin it to the limit , i think its not good to do it on a stock engine and transmition , it could damage it , tho i do it all the time with my merc to swing her ass while shifting to 2nd , never had problems

it's like static described. when power shifting the rpm drop very little so your still in the power range. the best is when someone isn't familiar with their car or not good at it and miss and rev the piss out of their car.....
if you wanna practice just keep shifting as fast as you can while foot off the gas so you get a feel for the shift throws and time between. then graduate to the all mighty power shift..... the last part was so full of sarcasm it hurt. Last edited by Traction Issuez; 02 May 2007 at 01:53 pm. |

you have to use the clutch, when "power shifting" you don't remove your foot from the gas pedal that is planted on the floor. "quick shifting" is shifting as fast as you can but still removing your foot from the gas pedal.
