Ahhh.....gear oil goes in the rear end, Tranny fluid goes in the tranny.

Well, you use gear oil for a manual transmission. I just bought a pumper at autozone to put it in my tranny.

But, I have ran into another problem after a test drive. The truck, a 1984 nissan 720, wont allow me to put it in gear when I turn it on.

their is a bolt on the side of the tranny on most cars and trucks and when it pours out of that hole she is full.

did you smoke the clutch?

the clutch isnt disengaging, adjust your cable/linkage if you didnt after replacing the clutch, the clearences are adjusted to the worn clutch, and not a brand new one

No, the reason it does that is because the truck is so old, it doesn't have a "neutral safety switch", this will allow it to start in gear and it will creep forward.
