Is there anything else besides the Engine fasteners that is a MUST DO?
Ive heard that the older generations have lose enigne fasteners, because the factory failed to tighten the fasterns at the correct pressure. Is there anyting else that should be taken a look at when purchasing one? Thank you ^_^

I dont know about 1st or 2nd gens, but the mk3's head bolts aren't torqued enough. Most people just get a MHG anyway and torque to 70lbs(pretty sure 70 is the #). Also the stock W58 NA supra tranny is garbage. Try to get the R154 tranny from the turbo model if you're going the NA route. The targa tops tend to leak if not taken care of also.

Yeah they do blow headgaskets all the time on the 7MGTE engines
![]() A mate of mine has had 2 or 3 MA70 mk3 supras and what he dose is uprate the head bolts to ARP studs and nuts. Then he fits a genuine Toyota head headgasket he found these last longer than cheap pattern ones and expensive performance items to.:thumb:
