I had to pull off an old wheel when I put my momo on. Like traction said, the rivets have nothing to do with it. There should be two threaded holes on your old wheel. Insert the bolts that come with the puller (avail for rent at autozone, etc) into the holes and use a ratchet on the puller.

Or you can do it the old school way like I did: I put a old nut back on the center threaded section so you dont damage the steering column. My friend used a hammer to sharply hit the nut while you simultaneously yank on the wheel, alternating force from side to side, top and bottom. Keep trying and you will eventually get it off. Exercise caution when you finally get it free b/c you might get a face full of steering wheel if you arent careful. Dont ask me how I know

got it out... me and my friend did it easyly... he put his kness on the steering whell and put his feet on the dash and then hit the center bolt... after a few hits it poped out... i had a grip on the steering wheel so it wouldn't crank him in the face
