of course, your MPG will change also, your acceleration, and top speed changes, you can see also a serious difference when tires are all pumped and have the same pressure, than different all around, and bad inflation...

i know about the MPG , acceleration, speed changes , my point was if i change the rims , im cruisen in a street that has a 100 km/h speed limit , my spedometer is on 100km/h , but acually my speed is 115km/h , i could have a ticket without knowing i was over the limit :eek3: .
Nice post

if you change your rims and tires, you want to try and get the outside diameter to be the same as your original outside diameter

with a larger rim ( from a 15 to a 16 ) and a lower profile tire ( from a 60 series to a 50 series ) you can get pretty close to the original oustide diameter, these are just examples of sizes, the above tire calculator is pretty dam cool

That's the site I used to figure out what size winter tires to get. Went from a 205/50/17 to a 195/65/15. There's a tenth of an inch diff. in the outside diameter which is pretty damn close.
