I think the 2.8 motor is the one with problems, 4.3 one is good some people refer to that one as a small block with 2 cylinders chopped off. I like em they drive alright, lotta aftermarket stuff for em, but Ive heard of some weird things happen to em like my dads friend was working on his and it went into gear and almost ran into his house

I've got a 94 blazer with a 4.3L vortec. It has more torque than my buddies F250 5.4L V8. The stock brakes and suspension are awful.

Were the 88s still full sized, or had they already switched over to the s10 based ones? If it's full sized, it's a freekin tank, you'll have a ton of fun with it and you can fit some huge ass tires under it. the 4.3 in the s10 based ones is a really good engine, and people swap 350s into those all the time.

The truck is stock, i'm considering improving his off road ability
I trade it against my supra cause I don't have time to rebuilt the engine and I wan't soemthing to practice off road

The full size reminds me Bronco... those are great trucks, remember the battle of chevy 350 vs ford 302 or 351.... great times
