Water Jacket Question?
Ok (90 civic Dx 1.5 sohc) my head is off the car and im trying to get the old residue off the block from the last head gasket, i used a putty knife and sandpaper and bits and peices of the gasket fell into the water jackets im freakin out because im afraid to put the head on with that stuff in the water jackets and there is not electricity in my storage unit where im working on it , will i be safe to put the head on and drain the coolant after words or will it stay in the water jackets unless the motor is running i really need help please?
