for all the stuff your asking

Fast
Reliable
Cheap
RWD

imports are not for you, you need a domestic, like said 10 times in this thread FOX mustang, or get an older camaro, these cars come Cheap, and with tiny mods, can be beastly, now if your gonna be getting body kits neons and crap, please do not get a domestic, get a import i could care less bout them

And maybe if you could find like a 92 Toyota MR2 turbo...u should be able to find one around 6k because there is one by my house for 6k and its a turbo, i think they have like 200hp for the turbo model and its rwd and i believe its 5 speed...and i dont know if you could find a good 300zx TT for under 6k but u never know

I resisted saying it since you were so dead set on a japanese car, but based on what your stated needs are, the best platform for you is a LT1 camaro. Its not the fastest car in the world by any stretch, but high 13's/low 14's box stock is respectable. I dont know of any other car that for the price is as reliable at that power level. The aftermarket is strong, it handles well (unlike the 5.0 mustang), and the platform has the potential to grow with your budget. $4500 camaro + $200 DR's + $600 nitrous = 12's (might also result in need for new rear end, but that is a different story

93's probably had the best gearing, but 95 is probably the best overall year for a LT1 car. OBD1 (less tuning hassles), vented optispark, hardened pushrods and PM connecting rods good for up to 450 hp.

he'd probably let it go for 7,5 and with only 97 000 miles, it doesn't seem it has been used in winter/snow, which means mostly rust free... what ever other import options he may find for 6k will be worst... and if the 6k is not his to begin with, 7 and a half is just one more relative away
