not really because with time fluids seperate and you cant have too much oil in the engine... unless you drain some before you start it.... :thumb: good question blair: 35points

you can do that if you want....but it jsut means more crap at teh bottom of your oil pan at the end of the season..

jsut fill it like normal and leave it jsut get really thick oil...

Marek: Of course, i was meaning at the end drain it put new filter fluid and all that shit in.
But i thought some gaskets might even get too much fluid in them and be destroyed anyways.

We don't need to do this shit over here hence asking.

Thanks alot for all the tips. The Garage is heated... Just installed the insulation today. The garage will stay at about 60-65 F all winter long. Car cover came with the car. And insurance has been switched to storage insurance for the winter. I will fill er up and add stabilizer, and take the battery out. Now I've heard two different suggestions on the oil.

Do I change it before winter or after?? And since the garage is heated do I take off the rims and tires or is it ok to leave them on. Cuz if it were outside or not heated i would take them off since the air would condense and leave a flat spot, but in warm air, will it still do that??

best thing to do is change the oil b4 you store it and then once you take it out change the oil again...

as for the tires like i said hot, cold, warm, freezing doesn't matter put more psi of air in your tires then required (example if the required is 32psi put in 40psi) and it won't leave a flat spot...just check it time to time jsut incase your tires loose air..

i have stored my car in a heated garage, non heated garage and last year outside...and the only thing i had to do was put a lil more air into my tires...nothing else..

gas loses octane over time, have you had any trouble with pinging on the old gas? I know when I worked at a boatyard, they would always drain the gas tanks for the winter.

if you empty your tank and leave it there all winter...you will have your tanks getting rotten....

if you put gas in it and "FUEL STABALIZER" you won't have a problem
