Default No Start

Went out this morning to goto work and my car wouldnt freakin start always happens when your running late
Checked all my fuses=good
Found the fuel pump relay(Thanks to B18BSol) under the drivers side dash, its working, heard it click when i turned the key on and then it clicked again about 5 seconds later and can hear the fuel pump buzzing.
Put a spark plug in one of my plug wires and checked for spark=no spark
Sounds like the ignitor in the distributor is bad

any suggestions?

will check that this afternoon, :thanks: BSol

one more thing, when i took the distributor cap off last night, the rotor just fell out i wasnt sure if its supposed to fit real tight on the distributor shaft or its supposed to have some play

gonna get a new rotor this morning and try that first, its alot cheaper than a new distributor

Holy Christ, yeah if the rotor fell off that would be the friggin problem.

forgive me, that's one of the freaking funniest things I've ever heard, no offense

...anyways, yeah there is a screw in the shaft of the rotor that holds it in. I would get one of those and reinstall it, make sure it's tight, that friggin thing spins around to transfer spark to all four plugs. If that fell out, I PROMISE that is why it's not working, especially no spark. Wow, good times :thumb:

well, a new rotor did not fix the problem, there is a little metal tab that holds the rotor tight on the distributor shaft and it was missing on the old one

so, its probably gonna be the ignitor in the distributor

ignitor is around $80 and a new distributor is $200 and it comes with a new ignitor, rotor and cap, so im gonna get a new distributor

its a common problem with the 88-93 accords from what ive been told from a local Honda mechanic
