Engine code is stamped on the block and for a 2005 Honda Civic LX it would be a D17 Single Cam non vtec 115hp 1.7L. I don't know of a Civic SE (accord SE?) but yeah, that's the code. If you get me the VIN I can give you the exact engine number :thumb:

Thanks. We where just tryin to find out if the engine was worth trying to put a trubo on. But there are no kits for it, so I gess not. Better off doing a engine swap.

Yeah, there are those that would argue that you can make a beast out of a SOHC, and there are some out there, but I don't see the reason why you would when swaps are fairly inexpensive now and then you have such a better platform to start with.

What I'm wondering about your car however is it's a 7th gen and I don't know if there are kits to put B or H series motors in that small engine bay. I know Hasport right here in Phoenix makes a kit for the K series swap although the kit AND the swap are rather costly. Also you have to put the K series in through the bottom cause it won't fit through the top of the engine bay; no problem if you have a lift though, but most people don't.

See this: http://www.hondatuningmagazine.com/f...vic/index.html

Let me know what you decide to do, I'm curious what you come up with :thumb:
