I didn't see anything in the 2K range at either site unless it was accessories for a TC. No offense guys...I do believe there are TC kits available at $1700, but I bet they probably fell off the back of a truck. But...I guess you pay for what you get! |

No turbo kits that I know of, but you can certainly get a turbo for cheaper than $2K. As for supers, Boyd, check out this one: http://www.superchargersonline.com/p...er=V4FA218-010 www.superchargersonline.com has all the info you could ever want, as well as the best prices. The link above shows a Vortech going for cheaper than $2K--which is list price. Jon |

sc are good on cars like mustang, corvette etc.
but on a civic you should go turbo because, with a sc you will might get 50-60 hp to the wheels, and if you already got a b16a2 yo will now have about 200 hp. with turbo and ic you will might get 230-250 hp( )The compression on the corvettes and mustangs are pretty high(i think ) so a sc will not give so muchpower and they can run with stock internals! |

Most turbo kits either add lower compression pistons or recommend you swap them in, so the compression ratio isn't really a problem. Anytime I see a vehicle with turbos done by a pro shop, they generally lower the compression ratio. Nitrous may sound good up front, cheap start up price, but then you gotta keep refilling it, and what happens if you used it up and haven't had time to refill, someone comes up and challenges you? Lets just hope you didn't hit that nitrous and leave everything else stock. I would never let someone off with the excuse, "But I ran outta NOS"

turbo stangs are very common now too, and they run stock internals up to or past 500hp without probs.
stang just kick ass. imo.

Not at all. Mustang GT CR is 9.4:1 while the Vette is either 10.1 or 10.5. Either way, you'll get more power out of a FI setup with a higher CR, it will just be alot harder on the engine. Jon |
