I'm converting my mustang to 5 lug using SN95 spindles and axles, I'm gonna be using the 13" cobra brakes in the front (11.65" disc conversion for the rear). And I'm looking to put some serious rubber in the back, 17" x 10.5" wheels with 315 tires. Has anyone done/seen something like this done in a fox body? I've done some research, but all the information I've found is too vague to be useful.
Here's a link to the wheels I'm VERY interested in: http://www.mustangtuning.com/black-d...l-17x10-5.html Thanks in advance for the help. -Nick (Tubular GT40 intake is in the garage waiting to be installed )

Tubular GT40 intake, 24lb injectors, bigger MAF and TB. Roller rockers (1.6), under drive pulley kit. |

Shouldn't be a problem as long as you get the correct offset on the rims. Also you might have to go with SS brake lines to bolt up the cobra calipers.:thumb:

315's aren't needed. or mini tub it.
275's- drag radials are more than enough for traction. by judging your mods, youd be lucky to even hit 250hp and a tad over stock 300Tq.

You are contradicting your self my friend. You say i'm wrong but, you go on by saying "quote" you will either need to get lines that mate the sn rubber lines to stock fox lines"quote". That's why i said you may need SS lines to mate the cobra calipers to stock brake lines.

I don't quite understand what you find ricey about the rims, is it the number of spokes, the chrome lip, or the fact that it's a black rim? I was just looking for something that would show off the brakes I'm investing in (not sure if the 13" front rotors would even fit in the prostars). Also, I'm trying to avoid all chrome rims, I don't think it'd look right on a chrome yellow stang. And 250 hp is a bit low, I'm expecting closer to 310-320, if I ever get to a dyno I'll be sure to show you all the results.
Here's the other style I was looking at: http://www.mustangtuning.com/dedibubl1wh.html Yeah I know it's still got the chrome lip, but I'm sorta into that. Other color possibility is anthracite: http://www.mustangtuning.com/dedibuwh.html http://www.mustangtuning.com/deep-di...l-17x10-5.html Let me know if any of those seem less ricey, I'm a bad judge. As for the brake lines, going SS. And here's a picture of the car: ![]() Does anything think lowering a fox body a little looks ricey too? Because I'm thinking about that as well. -Nick
