Is there a really obvious way that I can tell if the frame is bent or not? By maybe jacking it up? Im REALLY hoping its just a shock/spring/exhaustion of the driver that dropped the car off, haha. Because I should be able to get the tranny and wheels covered. I can't believe that though..even I laughed at that. I got screeewed. He emailed me back:

I sent him the pictures and was like WTF about the tires with him, so I'm waiting for a reply.

you can tell hes young just by the way he writes. Dont let him BS you with the car didnt show any signs of wear when it was here. I dont believe that crap.

it might be a v6 but with that exhaust it sounds like a v8,

carfax is as big as a scam as the dsm this guy bought. on the old bimmer we had it got wrecked/owned. we fixed it. and it was almost totalled, but got fixed anyways. but needless to say we pulled up the carfax before we sold it and it said never been wrecked... lol .. it depends on who fixes the car. they dont always report it to the insurance co.

well, when you're 18 theres a big deal between $2000 and $2376 when you have a shitty job and go to school full time. plus i paid $780 to get it shipped to my house. so that's $3156, and i had to take out a loan for some of it. what i expected was a car with a smooth shifting tranny, decent tires, and that hasnt been wrecked. everything else i expected, because i know DSM's had their problems, and it's 11 years old. im not mad about normal wear and tear, im mad about him lieing about the car.

If you want I'll sell you my Talon. It's a 97 (hence the name) non-turbo 5-spd. It only has just under 230k miles (just broken in). It has the original motor/transmission and even original clutch!!!! The check engine light has been on for a while and it hasn't been driven since september but I'm sure all it needs is a tune up

. The are brand new (less than 5k miles on them) with good tread. It has a Kenwood deck in it and the Mitsubishi 5-star aluminum rims (I have 6 rims, 4 w/tires 2 w/out 1 that needs to be repaired). It has a dent in the front bumper where I slid into a Jeep at about 10 mph. If your interested let me know and I will go into further detail.

Eh, thanks for the offer. But I'm gonna pass. I dont have the money now. Plus I want the TSi AWD. So..I'm trying to find the best prices to get repairs done. It will need a new back bumper for sure, hopefully I can get one painted for under $500. It definitely needs new weatherstripping on the windshield, the doors are ok it's just all the paint is chipped off. Definitely needs a new door hinge, it pops when it's opened because of whatever accident it was in. New tires for sure. already know that's gonna cost me $520 installed. It's leaking oil all over everything so I know it needs a new head gasket and valves. The guy just told me the title is on the way so I'm getting it into Buschurs sometime soon and getting it checked, hoping to god it doesn't have a bent frame. My engine warranty should cover most parts, dunno about the tranny though. Gah.
