Default HELP: Problem with Chrysler Town and Country

Ok so ive been driving my moms van the past few days cause i need to buy new tires 4 my car but have no $$$. Anyways about a week ago i accelerate and the whole car (or the front end maybe) shaked like crazy. I was really scared. Anyways, it went away so i forgot about it.

So i started driving like a douchbag tonight and it happened again. When it is, is when the transmission upshifts it like locks up or something. You guys have gotta help me out here.

I made a video of what happend.

First off, Chrysler minivans EAT transmissions, it's just the way it goes. However, it is COMMON to haev broken motor mounts as well, which under acceleration if the motor is twisting and coming into contact with something, that could cause "excessive vibration" as well.

On the otherhand, Maybe it just doesn't like Dr. Dre...

when i read it i thought that it might be the motor mount but it doesn't have that clunk sound when it shifts or even when he puts it into gear

damn, that sounds pretty bad, hard to tell just by the vid though. yeah i would check the motor mounts but i doubt thats the problem since you said it only happens in 3rd gear. could be a holding clutch inside the transmission that is slipping or a one way thrust bearing. if it was me i would consider just swapping the whole transaxle for a new one and that should take car of it but i guess it might be something more simple. just so many possibilities its hard to tell. good luck with it anyhow.

take it to a tranny place, most places will offer you free towing and diagnostic. The only reason why im aiming towards the tranny and not the engine is bc ive never heard of any engine problem that only comes in at around 3k rpms and shakes the car like that, at least not that rough. sorry man i cant help u out more but ive just have no idea, theres just so many different things.
Dude cars aint nothin but money pits, and thats the truth. I was drivin to school the other day and we park in a dirt lot (only one thats free) with tons of large rocks all over the place, and some girl with a dodge neon was parking about 3 spots away from me. Anyways i hear this loud CLUD. i getta outta my car and walk over cuz im curious. This girl ripped her tranny pan wide open, the fluid was runnin all under the car. Man my point is that, shit like this happens all the time, and u cant let it get to u. Shit happens
