Default Performance mods

Me and my friend both have honda civic exs with the D16Y8 w/V-tec and we wanted to put

Intake
Throttle Body Spacer
Intake Manifold
Headers 4-1
exhaust
performance flywheel
performance clutch
port and polish the head

we want to know if it would be in our good intrest to change the injectors for bigger ones or stock ones would be okay, only if we dont get more wild than that and what the hell is the Hondata 200 or 300 heard so much about and still have no freaking clue what it is or what it does?

Turbo AWD said the stock injector size in cc is 240 and Nismoron said when i find out the stock injector size in cc to times it by 0.66 and so
240 X 0.66= 158 so knowing that would it just be safe to change the injectors to slightly bigger ones?

The d16y8 engine's came with 240cc on the EX models 96-98. The d16y7 engine's come with 190cc in the lx-hx models 96-00. To avoid any lean or rich conditions. I wouldn't go any bigger or smaller on the injector size with out a tuning device, such as a S-AFC controller. :thumb:

With all those mods you should be pushing at least 14HP or 15HP. Of corse to the rear wheels you might only get 10HP to 12HP. Not bad for a honda.

Hondata is a tuning device such as a S-AFC controller but, unlike an S-AFC hondata is made specifically for honda's.

Hondata modifies the standard Honda's (ECU), adding features and expanding the capabilities of the ECU.
Good luck to you Sir. :thumb:

dont think you will need injectors with these relatively mild mods. although it might be good to get the hondata because you will be able to tune the stock injectors to take advantage of your new mods. if you were to get new injectors with a stock ECU then you would screw up the air/fuel ratio. i would spend the money on the hondata piggy back ECU instead of the injectors. usually do injecters with major mods like turbos, superchargers, nitrous, stroker kits ect...

It all depends on the objective of your goals and the level of modifications you plan on running.
__________________________________________________ _______________
Currently there are three units. S100, S200, And S300.
__________________________________________________ _______________
The S100 being the basic model with features such as:

removed speed limiter.
controll over fuel and ignition tables.
Expanded fuel & ignition tables for boost.
Expanded rpm fuel & ignition tables.
A/C cutout.
Vtec control (non user adjustable).
Rev limiter (non user adjustable).
Nitrous control.
Note: With the s100 it is recommended to cut jumper J12 inside the ECU. For US ECUs this jumper is located near the two vertical sub boards inside the ECU. For JDM ECUs remove J4 which is located on the top of the circuit board near CN2.
The base price for the s100 is $245
__________________________________________________ _______________
The S200 system has the following features:

removed speed limiter.
Controll over fuel and ignition tables.
Expanded fuel & ignition tables for boost.
Expanded rpm fuel & ignition tables.
A/C cutout.
Shift light.
Vtec control.
Adjustable rev limiter.
Launch control.
Full throttle shift.
Nitrous control.
Datalogging with HondaLogger software. Datalogging with Palmlog software and, ROM Editor tuning software.
The base price for the s200 is $295
__________________________________________________ _______________

The S300 uses different connecting pins in the ECU from the s100/s200, and also has a slot cut in the side for the USB connector, so the ECU must be modified for use with the s300.

The S300 system has the following features:

Built on the proven s100/s200 code base.
USB connection for speed and compatibility.
SManager Windows based software for parameter & table editing, calibration uploading and datalogging.
Real-time updating of ECU.
Built in calibrations for common engine combinations.
Built in datalogging to a laptop.
On board datalogging memory (2 MB memory, 20-60 minutes datalogging).
Adjustment for different sized injectors, with overall fuel trim.
Configurable for any MAP sensor (to at 5 Bar and above).
TPS based table lookup for ITB's.
Engine protection from over boost.
Expanded fuel and ignition tables, both in rpm and load, to 60 lbs boost and 11,000 rpm (these are not the upper limits).
Launch control with anti-lag.
Full throttle shift.
Two multi purpose outputs for nitrous control or similar.
Lambda tracing (with a wideband o2 sensor).
The base price for the s300 is $595.

Here you go Sir,

Also you could try EBAY, at your own risk. :thumb:
