Not really enough info given to tell.

IF you assumed his trap speed was accurate, and an overall estimate of weight at 2000 pounds ... Roughly 800 HP which could be accomplished in a fiberglassed rod with a nicely setup V8 motor.

depending on weight n all that other good stuff , i would say almost touching 2K hp, i am thinking in an I6 though, based on the 1500hp supra running mid 8's

Depends. I'd say if it was a multi-gear stick shift (3+ gears) Yeah.

In MOST V8 dragsters (which the vid was of) They usually only run a 2-3 speed automatic, with a trans brake. Less shifting = less lag = less power needed.

Remember racing isn't all about brute power. There are other things in consideration. Power, Weight, Traction, and Efficiency of the combined numbers.

that dragway looks uh, safe, to say the least. no barriers at all. if you were to have a sticking throttle, your toast.

lol, and its funny that they are running american muscle cars in other countries (i.e. different language, commas used to mark place value instead of periods as in the time and mph)

Hard to say.

He had to back out of the throttle (as the vid showed) and trapped 151MPH / 245KPH.

I'd say mid sevens would require about 1,500HP minimum. Sure we've all seen Marko's supra run the 8.4 @ 162, but that was at 1,200HP with a full-street car (i.e. 3,000 lbs). Additionally, EVT's Skyline ran 8.2 @ 169 with only 1,100HP on call.
