well i really don't want to get in to this fight but i just read all of the post and i couldn't help like laughing there are ppl that shouldn't be saying anything and then there are ppl that help alot (second post) in my slight little knowing opinion the thread should have stoped there since the question was answered. the impreza WRX STI type R does exist, overseas, but is no longer produced. it was one of FEW 2 door impreza WRX designs. the 22B is one of the other more well known versions. the WRX STI type R isnt really worth trying to get your hands on though, because the 4 door sedan is just as good. Not to mention, like someone said in here earlier, the car will not be street legal in the states. your best bet if you REALLY want a WRX STI type R is to buy a used impreza 2.5 RS and drop an STI motor in it yourself. then it will still be street legal. wont be real, but at least it will be legal.
