hey i have a subaru Sti 07'... and it has full coverage on it but one day in the morning i was going to work and when i turned it on white smoke came out the exhaust... it did that once more when i went to lunch... but then when i went to school later that day it had stopped but the check engine light came ON!... i took it to the dealership and they just getting me PIST because they says its a misfire but dont know wat to fix.... WTF is that?! that bullshit right?! all they do is clear the computer and they say it doesnt miss fire anymore.. but when they gave it back to me one day later it started to miss fire once more and the check engine light came back on!.. they've had it for a week and havent dont shit to it n e more cuz the light doesnt turn on again. i need some help of how i can get that fixed. N e one got n e ideas? plz help

if its still under warranty, the dealer should fix the problem
if you go start putting aftermarket parts on, they could say that you caused the problem by installing those parts, so i would get it resovled before you start adding performance parts, some dealers are funny about that stuff maybe go ask a service advisor from another subaru dealership if adding aftermarket parts will void your warranty jus my 2 cents

the code the ecu is throwing would be even more helpful.
do you have a laptop? or next time it throws a CEL, hit autozone and have them pull the code.

Check North American Subaru Impreza Owners Club, and search their archives. Chances are someone there has had this very same problem.
