Ouch!!!! A clutch and built tranny would be my 1st mod in an STI or an Evo.

Any AWD car getting launched at 6000 rpm is going to have problems. Do it in a FWD or RWD car, and the tires break loose, reducing the strain on the drive train.

That generalization may be true for a stock rwd car, but once built up, a rwd car with drag suspension and slicks can out 60 ft a awd car, resulting in plenty of drivetrain stress.
