Holy shit that was a bad 1.

O.k bit off topic here guys but why are roll cages not in new cars as standard??? is it that hard a thing to achieve in a practical way, cost etc aside.

Thoughts....

damn, he rolled 7 times. quite a rough ride.
To answer gilly, new cars dont come with roll cages because its very unlikely for something like that to happen. The cost of installing them in production cars outweighs the risk of injury without them.

Should have them roll cages installed just to protect us small car drivers from those massive H2s out there.

It's awesome but not dangerous, it's just a roll
The problem arrives when the car strikes something during the roll

To answer Gilly again,

In the UK, if you have a full on roll cage installed in your car, some insurance companies will actually INCREASE your premium! This is becasue, in the unlikely event that you do have a crash, and you are injured and the firebrigade need to cut you out of the wreakage, then a roll cage is more of a hinderance than an aid. If you die cos the firebrigade couldn't cut you out in time, then the claim will be bigger! also your car will be stronger, so in a crash with another car, the other car will take more of a beating and could cause more damge to the occupants resulting in a larger payout from the insurance company.
