Ok, the tag on the video on the actual site says that its Colin Mcrae - not richard burns. The video itself displays Kankkunen's name. Judging by the year (before 1999), and the fact that in the daytime shot, the co-driver is English (and he's not calling out Burns' exceedingly complex pacenotes), I would say it's Mcrae.
Secondly, I think that luck's got nothing to do with it. Mcrae's skill and precision was sublime.
