“STPR videos released by 321GoVideo”
ST. LOUIS, MO - 321GoVideo releases three videos covering the third place podium finish by Lauchlin O’Sullivan along with the intense PGT battle between Matthew Johnson and Tanner Foust at STPR, held on June 3, 2006. They can be viewed free of charge on the 321GoVideo website: http://www.321GoVideo.com Each video highlights the day long battle as each driver tackles some of the fastest unpaved rally roads in North America. The Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally was the first of two rallies to decide the final X Games positions and provided for some of the most extreme rallying in a long time. Lauchlin O’Sullivan, along with his co-driver Scott Putnam, finished third overall but most importantly won the first of just two qualifying positions for the upcoming ESPN X Games. After over 130 competitive miles they crossed the finish line with just minor damage to their CPD Racing Subaru. “It’s fantastic, that’s what we came here to do, everything worked out properly and we paced ourselves during the night” said O'Sullivan. “It all worked out, it’s incredible.” Matthew Johnson and co-driver Kim DeMotte were in a close fight with their class competitor Tanner Foust and co-driver Scott Crouch during the entire day. Both drivers had trouble during the rally and in the end Matthew came out ahead for the Production GT class win. “It feels great! This kind of win reminds me of what rallying is all about.” Exclaimed Matthew ”It's the never get to bent out of shape... never give up... never say die... just keep your foot down and do the best you can and keep pushing as hard as you can and see where you end up. Because the story is not ever told until the very end.” “That’s the crazy thing about rally in general” said Tanner “it’s such a long day, you know one mistake, it can cost you the whole race, the tiniest little mistake for us cost us two spots.” The completion of STPR marks the forth round out of nine in the Rally America National Championship. The next event is the Maine Forest Rally on July 21 - 22 in Rumford, Maine.
