still a cool vid i would like to see a gt3 and a gtr go head to head on a track. i think it would be very close. I told someone the other day that an r-34 can go up aganist ANY massed produced car in the world and eat them for lunch on a track. anyone think i was wrong?

So, yes...the GT3 will beat the Skyline on most tracks. Make it a GT3 RS or GT2 and the Skyline has no chance.

It really depends on if you are looking at standard cars or not. Standard for standard the GT3 is a superior car on the track but clearly it is 3 times the price. An Australian Import magazine recently compared the 996 Turbo and an R34 GTR and found the 996 to be the vaslty superior car. Once Mods come into it the GTR will usually leave the prosche standing. They are more easily and vastly more cheaply modified. A GTR with very few mods can run Mid 11's and most lap receords in Aust held by road going cars (road tyres etc) are held by modded GTR's and many run faster times than race prepared GT3's. So like I said it really comes down to what you are comparing. AS most GTR run in moddified trim and few GT3's rnning on the street run many mods for me when it comes to 1/4 mile I would place the cold hard on the GTR.

ok, when it comes right down to it, the GT3 is a fast car, it is slightly faster than the GTR and has a little higher top speed, but they are mainly made for the looks and pride of ownership, seeing as how most people who drive them, or any high performance car(vettes, vipers, ferraris, etc.) are usually middle aged geezers with short ****s who have a problem with mid life crisis. i bet the guy in that porsche was one of them.

ok the GT3 looks like this: 380hp, 284 lbs., 0-60 in 4.3, top speed of 190 mph, and all for ten gran more than the GTR, plus its actually sold in the U.S. unlike the GTR. I rest my case

ps the GT2 is even better but more expensive.

if you want to know what the GT2 looks like

477hp, 457 lbs., 0-60 in 4 seconds, top speed of 198, but its twice as much as the GT3

Things must be very different in the US. In Aust a GT3 will cost you around $200,000 more than a 34 GTR.
