Default Cam selection questions...

I am rebuilding my Ford 360 FE block. This question is for anyone who knows anything about cams. I know nothing. The question is: which cam should I use in my truck. Any help would be appreciated. Here are the cam part numbers--

CCA-CL33-224-3-- Competition Cams High Energy Cam and Lifter Kits

CCA-CL33-248-4-- Competition Cams Xtreme Energy Cam and Lifter Kits

LUN-00054LK-- Lunati Bracket Master II Cam and Lifter Kits

I want a lopey idle, good low-end torque, and some decent high-end power.

PS--- just copy the parts numbers into the search thing at www.summitracing.com

Before selecting a cam you must know your clearance between the valves and the piston. Also you must know what kind o fperformance you want. What system are you running?Speed density or MAF.There are many things to look for when you purchase a cam man remember the lift is how much higher the vlaves will open and the duration is the length.

comp extream energy..... end of story. if you don't want to run a stall then the 268 will be the biggest you can run. i have run the 278 and was happy with it in my 79 z/28.
