Your going to swap an entire Skyline into your 240???

Seriously... R34 what? I am assuming you are talking the engine...

Well they came with several. Most notably:
RB26DETT in the GT-R
RB25DET Neo in the GT-T
RB25DE Neo in the GT-U and all of the non'sporty 2 and 4 door models.

What year 240 is it. 89-94 S13 will fit an RB20 from an R32 much easier. If it is an S14 then I would swap an RB25DET from an R33. The more similar tha year (S13 to R32, S14 to R33) the more similar the wiring and engine management architecture will be. The RB20 into S13 is a very easy swap. Fewer wires to match than an SR swap!!! RB25 to S14 is a little trickier cause the S14 has some other things in the engine harness, like the wipers, you'll want those to work!

the all wheel conversion I think you just can forget, unless you have alot of patience and money. How many horses do you aim for?If you aint aiming over 500 you should get a sr20det...

I have afriend in Atlant that does 240 motor swaps. He has done a AWD conversion and charged about $10,000-$12,000 +motor, to cut the frame and redesign the front suspension to take the AWD. It was bad ass!!!

He uses an 240 with an SR as the shop car to go get cigarettes and Yohoos because it suck ass compareed to all the RB cars.

The RB 20DEt bolts right in and costs HALF an SR. I have an RB20 installed, and all of the following for the price my buddy paid for his SR BEFORE shipping:

JDM URAS 80mmExhaust
75mm downpipe
Frontmount intercooler
Apexi SAFC
HKS boost controller
HKS turbo timer
HKS intake and filter
and the custom motormounts

After he got his motor in, he rode in mine and 2 months later sold his SR and now has a RB sitting in his shop floor!!! With all of that, I already have the 300hp and have a bigger turbo and injectors to be put in as soon as I get an E-manage to controll the injectors! Then we are off towards 400hp! Still less than he paid to get the SR here and installed, and he did the labor himself!

RB20DET front clip is $1200 at www.venus-auto.com conpare that to $2500 for an SR motorset that will be missing parts. You can even use the skyline intercooler and piping. It all fits!!!

What is a good idea? An RB26DETT in a 240??? Sure if you got $20,000 to blow!!! Thats what it will take to get an RB26 and the AWD into a 240 and get it ti 400hp!

Rb20DEt into a 240??? A GREAT idea!!! I have about 300hp with less than $3000 invested, and with another $500 I'll have 350-375hp. It already runs mid 13's spinning through 1st, 2nd, and 3rd!!! And that is with NO LSD!!! Got one of those sitting in the garage too! Just waitin to have the time to put it in!

I've seen an rb26dett in a black s14 with all carbon body panels, it was pretty sweet. I imagine it is expensive as hell to do it though.

ALL of the RB26 swaps I ve seen, except the one my buddy did, used an RB25DET tranny and were only rear wheel drive. That is a pretty good swap, but you have to buy a RB26 motor and tranny set, throw away the tranny and then find and buy a 25 tranny. Gets expensive quick. Not to mention the two turboes sitting in the spot where you brake booster and steering shaft need to be. Can be done, but why bother??? It is pretty easy to get 550-600 hp out of an RB25, so unless you are going for really sick #'s like 600+hp then a RB25 is plenty and costs half as much. Also costs less to mod.

RB20DEt with a filter/exhaust, big ass intercooler an big t3 or small t3/t4 and some 450cc injectors and some engine management wioll do 350+ EASILY. And is cheap!

Just be warned, it has a torque curve like a dirt bike
1 nothing below 4000rpm and above that... HOLD ON!!!
